Cruising Alaska

on Rhapsody of the Seas

My cruise to Alaska on Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas.

Departing Vancouver

The ship departed Vancouver at about 6pm.

Squeezing Into The Cabin

Cruise ships pack you into little closet-sized cabins like sardines, right? Wrong. We somehow scored a free upgrade to a 500 square foot luxury suite, complete with king-sized bed, separate living area, bar, fridge, two 27" TVs, and a bathroom with double-sinks, whirlpool tub and separate shower. Only 5 of these suites are on the boat.

Inside...

A modern cruise liner is literally a floating Las Vegas-style resort, with casinos, live theater, upscale shopping, and more recreational activities than you can possibly do.

Helicopter Excursion to Mendenhall Glacier

This was the first time I'd ever been on a helicopter, and I got to sit in the front seat next to the pilot and videotape a lot of it.
